About the role

Based in Seattle, Savills is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join our Research and Data Services team. Integral to market tracking and analytics, this role will have primary responsibility for collecting and evaluating commercial real estate market data across Seattle and supporting the Mountain-Northwest Region to best position the firm’s advisors, prospects and clients. The Senior Research Analyst will ensure the quality of the Savills Seattle data foundation, consult with brokerage teams, provide customized research pieces and thought leadership, and work across departments to deploy and present data in a compelling way through technology. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of the regional real estate market and contribute to the quarterly market statistics production process
  • Provide regular updates to, and maintenance of, proprietary market information databases including building and owner information, lease comparables, tenants in the market, and other key data points
  • Identify insights on market activity, conditions and trends to maintain competitive advantage through market expertise and analysis
  • Use tools including Tableau an Alteryx to organize, analyze and visualize data
  • Develop strong rapport with Savills research counterparts nationally to exchange best practices and market moving data
  • Work with brokerage, marketing, and graphics teams to best position research to contribute to business development and client service efforts
  • Build relationships with research peers and experts externally in the local real estate community in order to exchange information and keep abreast of relevant industry developments
  • Respond to all requests for data and information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work with brokerage, technology, marketing, and graphics teams to best position research to contribute to business development, client service efforts, and pursuit strategy
  • Work with close counterparts in other disciplines as part of a cross-functional team, network and exchange best practices with peer group

Experience/Education/Qualifications:

  • BA or BS Degree in business, computer sciences, information systems, mathematics, marketing or related field; commercial real estate research experience a plus
  • Accomplished with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet research, and various other types of analytical and presentation software (Tableau, Alteryx); Salesforce experience a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, analytic and data visualization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal and presentation delivery
  • Consistently demonstrate a high level of performance and professionalism
  • Self-starter who works independently and thinks proactively and strategically
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
