Hardware Design Engineer
Description
In recent years, there has been a large increase in the quality and affordability of embedded Field Programmable Gate Array (eFPGA) Intellectual Property (IP) cores. These advances provide potentially new and powerful advantages to DOD hardware systems. However, before DOD and the defense contractors begin embracing and investing large amounts of capital into this new technology, more must be understood regarding its maturity and ability to improve microelectronic projects. The members of this project will evaluate these products, their features, costs, benefits, support, potential applications, and related security concerns that would result in a series of reports outlining their findings to DOD over the next 18-24 months
Qualifications
Seven (7) years experience as a HDE in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering of the same is required. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
